Teaching Portfolio

 A nature lover, a gardening enthusiast, a youthful heart, imaginative, and creative are the top 5 ways I would describe myself. 

My lessons are holistically designed with big ideas in mind. I am constantly circling back to previous ideas but showing them in as many ways as possible because we are all unique and what resonates with my students is going to be as individual as they are.  Meaningful experience-based inquiry, play, and creativity are woven into my lessons to help build these connections to concepts and curriculum.

  In my first teaching practicum, I used sharing circles, oral storytelling, and applied the knowledge I have learned from elders as well as professional learning sessions.  I am priviledged to have my next placement be within an Indigenous based CBE school. I am of the understanding I am a part of a community of learners, only one part of a bigger whole in students educational journey.
